TaxApp is a tax-preparation helper for US (Form 1040 and state) and Canadian (T1, provincial, and Quebec TP-1) personal and small-business returns. It organises your documents, calculates figures with line-level sources, and produces a filing-ready package. It is not professional tax, legal, or accounting advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified tax professional. The rule tables it calculates from are versioned and cited but are preliminary and still pending professional (SME/CPA) verification — the app labels them "Preliminary figures" / "Rules pending expert sign-off" in the Review step, and you should verify every figure before relying on it for a real filing. TaxApp does not transmit returns: its e-file flow is a practice (sandbox) flow only, and filing with the IRS, a state, the CRA, or Revenu Québec remains your responsibility through your chosen channel. TaxApp is not affiliated with or endorsed by the IRS, the CRA, Revenu Québec, or any government agency. AI-assisted document reading can make mistakes, so confirm every imported value before applying it.
Access starts with a 100% free 14-day trial: sign up with your name and email (no credit card), verify the email with the 6-digit code we send, and the trial never auto-charges. After the trial, access continues on a standalone TaxApp plan — US$6/month, US$61.20/year (15% off), or US$120 one-time lifetime. TaxApp is sold separately and is not part of the All Apps Pass; a Pass membership does not unlock TaxApp. Your account is for you; please don't share your sign-in email with others. We may update content and features over time — updates are included with your access.
We store your name, email, plan/trial status, and sign-in sessions in order to run your access. In this deployment the app runs in your browser: your return data is stored locally on your device (browser storage), and the app offers in-app backup/restore so you control your copies. Document reading keeps only the last 4 digits of any SSN/SIN found on a document. Sign-in and plan emails are sent through our email provider; we store only a hash of each 6-digit code. Payments are processed by Stripe or PayPal — we never see or store your full card number. We do not sell personal information. The full privacy policy is the Privacy Policy on this site and the Master Legal Hub.
Paid plans are covered by our 7-day refund policy: email support within 7 days of a charge for a full refund of that charge. Subscriptions can be cancelled any time from your account or by emailing support; cancellation stops future renewals and you keep access until the end of the paid period.
